( William Emmons plays Howard, in the scene where he visits the hooker )

It’s a melodrama about a middle-aged lawyer who breaks away from his own reality after the discovery of his wife’s affair. He struggles to accept the fact and gets himself into drugs, hookers and fights. As the story unfolds, it is clear that there is only one way out for him.

Break is about moving on with life in relationships.
It plays around with betrayal and the protagonist’s obsessions for his wife. He chooses to escape from reality as a form to move on. Even the slightest thing reminds him of his wife and subconsciousness lead him to self-destruction. We see him struggles to move on.

Break stands for everyone’s breaking point in their life. Especially in the time of 20 century when man and woman deals with temptation around the social world. In the world where we are suppress from sex and violence, when it’s time to take a break we releases them.

It is “Paris Texas” meets “Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind”.
A war between the protagonist’s inner and outer world.
It explores how he deal with these conflicts and not letting it run over him.

The deconstructed storytelling will lead the audience into discovery of looking at the protagonist’s plight in the other way. Misleading and revealing to the audience that life is not all about one man.
