( Daisy at the coffeeshop where she meets Mr Tan )

SPRING AGAIN IS A ROMANCE SHORT FILM ABOUT A RETIRED OLD MAN, TAN, WHO GOES OUT TO FIND LOVE AGAIN. WHILE OUT ON A DATE, HE REALISES THAT WOOING A LADY IS NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMS.
PUTTING IN 110% OF EFFORT, TAN STEPS UP HIS GAME TO IMPRESS.

SPRING AGAIN revolves around the theme of memories.

Diseases and illnesses plague the elderly as they grow older, where their bodies wear down and deteriorate while some may begin to lose their memory. But even while memories are forgotten, muscle memory still exists.

Through the film Spring Again, I wish to convey the message that as one grows old and weak, it may cause stress to the family, especially the caregivers. However, I wish to encourage them to respond appropriately and to take the time and effort to go the extra mile for their loved ones. Within the film, as Tan’s wife’s dementia worsens, it is a constant reminder to him of their wedding vows made – for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish till death sets us apart.

Even so, I wish to encourage the caregivers to constantly recreate memories together with their loved ones, as memories are precious reminders of the past.

This film is a reminder to the public that true love has no expiration date. Age may slow love down, but true love transcends physical boundaries.
